Hootenanny Power is a radio show
I've listened to since coming to Baton Rouge
in 2005.
Saturday nights. 9 p.m. WRKF Public Radio.
On the air since 1981.
You tune in, or you stream, or you miss it.
No replays.
No advertising.
No social media.
I've always loved that about it.
The word junto goes back to Ben Franklin —
a small group that gathered
to ask better questions
and share ideas.
The Hootenanny Junto is somewhere in between.
Partly professional.
Partly creative.
Entirely on purpose.
